Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work The New Generation by Jordi Ribes for HKD 190,500.00 (€ 23,037.38). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale at Phillips in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jordi Ribes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April last year with an auction result of HKD 1,386,000.00 (€ 167,577.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The New Generation von Jordi Ribes für HKD 190.500,00 (€ 23.037,38) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jordi Ribes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.386.000,00 (€ 167.577,49).
