Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Underwater 4 by Jordi Ribes was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September this year. The price achieved of USD 35,560.00 (€ 33,597.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jordi Ribes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April last year with an auction result of HKD 1,386,000.00 (€ 167,577.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Underwater 4 von Jordi Ribes kam im September diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 35.560,00 (€ 33.597,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jordi Ribes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.386.000,00 (€ 167.577,49).
