Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Part I and Part II, which included the work Safety Can by Jon Kessler. The price achieved of USD 6,875.00 (€ 4,835.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jon Kessler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Favela), which sold at auction in February 2007 for USD 13,200.00 (€ 9,977.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Part I and Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Safety Can von Jon Kessler zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 4.835,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jon Kessler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Favela) beobachtet, die im Februar 2007 für USD 13.200,00 (€ 9.977,32) versteigert wurde.
