Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Safety Can by Jon Kessler for USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,550.88). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jon Kessler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Favela), which sold at auction in February 2007 for USD 13,200.00 (€ 9,977.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Safety Can von Jon Kessler für USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.550,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jon Kessler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Favela) beobachtet, die im Februar 2007 für USD 13.200,00 (€ 9.977,32) versteigert wurde.
