Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jon Kessler could be acquired at Phillips in New York in May 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Part II auction, the work X-Ray changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 884.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jon Kessler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Favela) in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 13,200.00 (€ 9,977.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jon Kessler konnte im Mai 2009 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II wechselte die Arbeit X-Ray für USD 1.250,00 (€ 884,89) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jon Kessler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Favela) im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.200,00 (€ 9.977,32).
