Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Our Good Earth by John Steuart Curry was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2013. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,446.92). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Steuart Curry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Preliminary Study for a Mural: Oklahoma Land Rush in May 2003 with an auction result of USD 175,500.00 (€ 149,158.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Our Good Earth von John Steuart Curry kam im Juli 2013 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.446,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Steuart Curry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Preliminary Study for a Mural: Oklahoma Land Rush im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 175.500,00 (€ 149.158,59).
