Auction result well in line with expectations
The work John Brown by John Steuart Curry was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,864.00 (€ 4,602.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Steuart Curry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Preliminary Study for a Mural: Oklahoma Land Rush in May 2003 with an auction result of USD 175,500.00 (€ 149,158.59).
