It changed hands for a price of GBP 564.00 (€ 936.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Melhuish Strudwick achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Thy Music, faintly falling, dies away, Thy dear eyes dream that Love will live for aye' G.F. Bodley in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 509,250.00 (€ 731,035.91).
