In September 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work #20-1958 by John McLaughlin. The »bidding war« ended at USD 187,500.00 (€ 171,939.48), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John McLaughlin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work V-1957, which sold at auction in September 2017 for USD 516,500.00 (€ 437,230.17).

Im September 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War to Present durch, in der auch die Arbeit #20-1958 von John McLaughlin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 171.939,48) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von John McLaughlin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit V-1957 beobachtet, die im September 2017 für USD 516.500,00 (€ 437.230,17) versteigert wurde.
