Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winter, Woodstock by John Fabian Carlson was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2015. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,848.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Fabian Carlson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Forest Silence, which sold at auction in September 2009 for USD 80,500.00 (€ 55,023.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Winter, Woodstock von John Fabian Carlson kam im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.848,58) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Fabian Carlson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Forest Silence beobachtet, die im September 2009 für USD 80.500,00 (€ 55.023,92) versteigert wurde.
