Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work A Stream In Winter by John Fabian Carlson for USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,750.78). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by John Fabian Carlson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Forest Silence in September 2009 with an auction result of USD 80,500.00 (€ 55,023.92).
