Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Winter Morning Mists by John Fabian Carlson was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in September 2010. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,704.80). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Fabian Carlson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Forest Silence, which sold at auction in September 2009 for USD 80,500.00 (€ 55,023.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Winter Morning Mists von John Fabian Carlson wurde im September 2010 in der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 20.000,00 (€ 14.704,80) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von John Fabian Carlson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Forest Silence beobachtet, die im September 2009 für USD 80.500,00 (€ 55.023,92) versteigert wurde.
