Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sylvan Monarchs by John Fabian Carlson was sold in the American Works of Art auction at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in September last year. The price achieved of USD 19,125.00 (€ 19,549.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Fabian Carlson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Forest Silence, which sold at auction in September 2009 for USD 80,500.00 (€ 55,023.92).
