Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sylvan Monarchs by John Fabian Carlson was sold in the American Works of Art auction at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in September last year. The price achieved of USD 19,125.00 (€ 19,549.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Fabian Carlson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Forest Silence, which sold at auction in September 2009 for USD 80,500.00 (€ 55,023.92).

Die Arbeit Sylvan Monarchs von John Fabian Carlson wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion American Works of Art bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 19.125,00 (€ 19.549,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von John Fabian Carlson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Forest Silence beobachtet, die im September 2009 für USD 80.500,00 (€ 55.023,92) versteigert wurde.
