Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction American Art, which included the work Grim Lairs by John Fabian Carlson. The price achieved of USD 25,600.00 (€ 23,469.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Fabian Carlson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Forest Silence, which sold at auction in September 2009 for USD 80,500.00 (€ 55,023.92).
