Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by John Fabian Carlson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December 2021. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work Snowy Pastures sold for USD 5,100.00 (€ 4,506.10) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Fabian Carlson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Forest Silence in September 2009 with an auction result of USD 80,500.00 (€ 55,023.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von John Fabian Carlson erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California and Western Art Online wurde die Arbeit Snowy Pastures für USD 5.100,00 (€ 4.506,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Fabian Carlson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Forest Silence im September 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 80.500,00 (€ 55.023,92).
