This artwork by John Fabian Carlson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December 2021. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work Snowy Pastures sold for USD 5,100.00 (€ 4,506.10) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Fabian Carlson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Forest Silence in September 2009 with an auction result of USD 80,500.00 (€ 55,023.92).
