Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Headless Monster with Young, 1948 by Clarence John Laughlin for USD 120.00 (€ 90.40). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clarence John Laughlin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'The Final Act (Belle Grove Plantation)' in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,262.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Headless Monster with Young, 1948 von Clarence John Laughlin für USD 120,00 (€ 90,40) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clarence John Laughlin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'The Final Act (Belle Grove Plantation)' im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.262,73).
