This artwork by Clarence John Laughlin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in April last year. In the Photographs from the Richard Gere Collection auction, the work House of the Past, 1947 sold for USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,978.93) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Clarence John Laughlin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot 'The Final Act (Belle Grove Plantation)' sold at auction in October 2016 with the realized price of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,262.73).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Clarence John Laughlin erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
