Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Iron Shell by Clarence John Laughlin for USD 408.00 (€ 360.49). This price was achieved in the auction The Gift of Photographs at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clarence John Laughlin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'The Final Act (Belle Grove Plantation)' in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,262.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Iron Shell von Clarence John Laughlin für USD 408,00 (€ 360,49) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Gift of Photographs bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clarence John Laughlin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'The Final Act (Belle Grove Plantation)' im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.262,73).
