Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams in London held the auction Photographs Now The Collector's Edition, which included the work The Enigma by Clarence John Laughlin. The price achieved of USD 2,432.00 (€ 2,206.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Clarence John Laughlin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'The Final Act (Belle Grove Plantation)' in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,262.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Photographs Now The Collector's Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Enigma von Clarence John Laughlin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.432,00 (€ 2.206,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clarence John Laughlin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'The Final Act (Belle Grove Plantation)' im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.262,73).
