Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The 100th Lie, from: 12 Blueprints by John Banting was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2017. The price achieved of GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,410.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Banting achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work For Social Service in September 2012 with an auction result of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 39,213.21).

Die Arbeit The 100th Lie, from: 12 Blueprints von John Banting kam im September 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.410,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Banting erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit For Social Service im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 39.213,21).
