Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstract by John Banting was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 960.00 (€ 1,120.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Banting achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work For Social Service in September 2012 with an auction result of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 39,213.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Abstract von John Banting wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 1.120,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Banting erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit For Social Service im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 39.213,21).
