Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two figures by John Banting was auctioned at Bonhams in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,497.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Banting achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work For Social Service in September 2012 with an auction result of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 39,213.21).

Die Arbeit Two figures von John Banting kam im März 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.497,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Banting erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit For Social Service im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 39.213,21).
