Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dancer by John Banting was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in July this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 960.00 (€ 1,120.03) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Banting achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work For Social Service in September 2012 with an auction result of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 39,213.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dancer von John Banting kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 1.120,03) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Banting erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit For Social Service im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 39.213,21).
