The work Chico by John Ahearn was auctioned at Christies in New York in November last year. It achieved a price of USD 11,340.00 (€ 10,985.18), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 62%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by John Ahearn; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Victor and Ernest sold at auction in September 2017 with the realized price of USD 21,250.00 (€ 17,988.66).

Die Arbeit Chico von John Ahearn kam im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 11.340,00 (€ 10.985,18) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 62%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von John Ahearn; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Victor and Ernest im September 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 17.988,66).
