Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Hazel; and a companion work Elliot by John Ahearn for USD 1,250.00 (€ 871.81). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Ahearn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Victor and Ernest in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 21,250.00 (€ 17,988.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Hazel; and a companion work Elliot von John Ahearn für USD 1.250,00 (€ 871,81) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Ahearn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Victor and Ernest im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 17.988,66).
