Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life with Flowers by Joaquín Torres-García was sold in the Modern Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 40,320.00 (€ 37,573.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joaquín Torres-García achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Construcción En Blanco in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 3,380,000.00 (€ 3,031,662.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life with Flowers von Joaquín Torres-García wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 37.573,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
