Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Joaquín Torres-García achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May last year. In the Modern Day Auction auction, the work Pez AAÇ sold for USD 189,000.00 (€ 176,125.24) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joaquín Torres-García achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Construcción En Blanco in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 3,380,000.00 (€ 3,031,662.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joaquín Torres-García erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Pez AAÇ für USD 189.000,00 (€ 176.125,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joaquín Torres-García erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Construcción En Blanco im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.380.000,00 (€ 3.031.662,03).
