Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Construcción universal con gran sol by Joaquín Torres-García was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 350,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 378,000.00 (€ 352,250.49). Admittedly, works by Joaquín Torres-García have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Construcción En Blanco in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 3,380,000.00 (€ 3,031,662.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Construcción universal con gran sol von Joaquín Torres-García kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 350.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 378.000,00 (€ 352.250,49) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joaquín Torres-García auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Construcción En Blanco im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.380.000,00 (€ 3.031.662,03).
