the set of two lithographs with hand-applied dark umber acrylic varnish, 1986, on wove paper, both presumably signed and dated in pencil on the reverse, both numbered 37/45, co-published by Joe Fawbush Editions and Solo Press, Inc., New York, the full sheets, pale mat staining and minor surface soiling on the reverse, otherwise both apparently in very good condition, one examined out of the frame, both framed

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled Landscapes by Joan Nelson was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2004. The price achieved of USD 1,195.00 (€ 962.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Nelson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #196 in November 2004 with an auction result of USD 19,120.00 (€ 14,420.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled Landscapes von Joan Nelson kam im September 2004 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.195,00 (€ 962,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Nelson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #196 im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.120,00 (€ 14.420,39).
