This artwork by Jiří Kolář achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in October 2021. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Map with Hands sold for USD 2,268.00 (€ 1,963.30) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jiří Kolář achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Czech Tagebuch in July 2009 with an auction result of EUR 72,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jiří Kolář erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Map with Hands für USD 2.268,00 (€ 1.963,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jiří Kolář erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Czech Tagebuch im Juli 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 72.750,00.
