Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work FREAK FARM by Jim Thorell. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,284.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Jim Thorell have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April this year the work "Burnt matches in the sand" was auctioned for SEK 75,000.00 (€ 6,630.43).

Im Mai 2018 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit FREAK FARM von Jim Thorell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.284,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Jim Thorell konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April diesen Jahres die Arbeit "Burnt matches in the sand" für SEK 75.000,00 (€ 6.630,43) versteigert.
