Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in New York held the auction first open Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled #104 (Bloody Mary) by Jeff Burton. The price achieved of USD 1,800.00 (€ 1,492.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jeff Burton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled # 113 (Bougainvillea), which sold at auction in March 2010 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,332.95).
