Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dieu Marin by Jean Souverbie was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale auction at Christies in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,431.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Souverbie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Sommeil in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 105,850.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dieu Marin von Jean Souverbie wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 26.431,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Souverbie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Sommeil im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 105.850,00.
