Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spaceball by Jason Rhoades was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in February 2015. The price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 48,259.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jason Rhoades achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three-Wheel Waggon-Wheel Chandelier in November this year with an auction result of USD 1,008,000.00 (€ 924,092.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spaceball von Jason Rhoades wurde im Februar 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 48.259,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jason Rhoades erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Three-Wheel Waggon-Wheel Chandelier im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.008.000,00 (€ 924.092,41).
