Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Prints and Multiples Online, which included the work 1724 Birth Of The Cunt by Jason Rhoades. The price achieved of USD 875.00 (€ 779.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jason Rhoades achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three-Wheel Waggon-Wheel Chandelier in November this year with an auction result of USD 1,008,000.00 (€ 924,092.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Prints and Multiples Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit 1724 Birth Of The Cunt von Jason Rhoades zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 875,00 (€ 779,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jason Rhoades erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Three-Wheel Waggon-Wheel Chandelier im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.008.000,00 (€ 924.092,41).
