In September 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Patona; Pink Petaled Posie by Jason Rhoades. The »bidding war« ended at USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,637.16), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jason Rhoades achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three-Wheel Waggon-Wheel Chandelier in November this year with an auction result of USD 1,008,000.00 (€ 924,092.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im September 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Patona; Pink Petaled Posie von Jason Rhoades zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.637,16) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jason Rhoades erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Three-Wheel Waggon-Wheel Chandelier im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.008.000,00 (€ 924.092,41).
