Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wych Cross by Jason Brooks was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in June 2017. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,235.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jason Brooks - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sassy, which sold at auction in October 2011 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 34,719.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wych Cross von Jason Brooks wurde im Juni 2017 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.235,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jason Brooks mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sassy beobachtet, die im Oktober 2011 für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 34.719,29) versteigert wurde.
