Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Coddle by Janine Antoni was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in November 2002. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 45,410.00 (€ 45,720.90). Admittedly, works by Janine Antoni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gnaw in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 204,000.00 (€ 218,696.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Coddle von Janine Antoni wurde im November 2002 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 45.410,00 (€ 45.720,90) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Janine Antoni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gnaw im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 204.000,00 (€ 218.696,40).
