This artwork by Janet Fish achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2021. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Marzipan From Erice sold for USD 75,000.00 (€ 61,505.66) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Janet Fish - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Five Bertolli Bottles, which sold at auction in July last year for USD 239,400.00 (€ 234,659.87).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Janet Fish erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Marzipan From Erice für USD 75.000,00 (€ 61.505,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Janet Fish mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Five Bertolli Bottles beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für USD 239.400,00 (€ 234.659,87) versteigert wurde.
