Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Janet Fish achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March last year. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Leslie's Zinnias sold for USD 81,900.00 (€ 73,830.34) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Janet Fish - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Five Bertolli Bottles, which sold at auction in July last year for USD 239,400.00 (€ 234,659.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Janet Fish erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde die Arbeit Leslie's Zinnias für USD 81.900,00 (€ 73.830,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Janet Fish mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Five Bertolli Bottles beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für USD 239.400,00 (€ 234.659,87) versteigert wurde.
