This artwork by Janet Fish achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2018. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Glass And Shells sold for USD 60,000.00 (€ 51,626.23) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Janet Fish have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Five Bertolli Bottles in July last year with an auction result of USD 239,400.00 (€ 234,659.87).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Janet Fish erzielte im September 2018 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde die Arbeit Glass And Shells für USD 60.000,00 (€ 51.626,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Janet Fish auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Five Bertolli Bottles im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 239.400,00 (€ 234.659,87).
