Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sulamit Rahu by Jan Štursa was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale auction at Christies in London in March 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,810.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Štursa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Czech messalina, which sold at auction in June 2011 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 30,423.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sulamit Rahu von Jan Štursa wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.810,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Štursa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Czech messalina beobachtet, die im Juni 2011 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 30.423,64) versteigert wurde.
