This artwork by Jan Štursa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2011. In the The Hascoe Family Collection: Important Czech Art auction, the work Czech man Playing Ninera (Hráč Na Niněru) sold for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,446.03) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Štursa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Czech messalina, which sold at auction in June 2011 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 30,423.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Štursa erzielte im Juni 2011 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Hascoe Family Collection: Important Czech Art wurde die Arbeit Czech man Playing Ninera (Hráč Na Niněru) für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.446,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 4.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Štursa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Czech messalina beobachtet, die im Juni 2011 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 30.423,64) versteigert wurde.
