Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale, which included the work Sulamit Rahu by Jan Štursa. The price achieved of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,202.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Štursa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Czech messalina in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 30,423.64).
