Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Rape of the Sabine Women (B. 79; Holl. 67) by Jan Müller was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,553.50 (€ 2,312.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Müller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Virgins in November 2002 with an auction result of USD 53,775.00 (€ 54,143.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Rape of the Sabine Women (B. 79; Holl.
