Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Five Virgins by Jan Müller. The price achieved of USD 20,000.00 (€ 15,787.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Müller - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Virgins, which sold at auction in November 2002 for USD 53,775.00 (€ 54,143.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Five Virgins von Jan Müller zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 15.787,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Müller mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Virgins beobachtet, die im November 2002 für USD 53.775,00 (€ 54.143,17) versteigert wurde.
