Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ten Windows by Jan Dibbets was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,706.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Dibbets achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shutterspeed Piece - Konrad Fisher's Gallery I in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 68,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ten Windows von Jan Dibbets kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.706,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Dibbets erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shutterspeed Piece - Konrad Fisher's Gallery I im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 68.750,00.
