Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Sothebys in Cologne held the auction Contemporary Passions, which included the work Horizon/1-12/Sky-Sea by Jan Dibbets. The price achieved of EUR 9,450.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 7,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Dibbets have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shutterspeed Piece - Konrad Fisher's Gallery I in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 68,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in Köln die Auktion Contemporary Passions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Horizon/1-12/Sky-Sea von Jan Dibbets zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 9.450,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 7.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Dibbets auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shutterspeed Piece - Konrad Fisher's Gallery I im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 68.750,00.
