The work Large Bowl by James Tower was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in September 2017. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,538.05), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by James Tower have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ribbed Chest Form in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,674.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Large Bowl von James Tower wurde im September 2017 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.538,05) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Tower auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ribbed Chest Form im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 26.674,30).
