Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Large Bowl by James Tower was worth GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,385.55) to a buyer in March 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Made in Britain at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Tower - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ribbed Chest Form, which sold at auction in September 2018 for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,674.30).
